“Go, therefore, and make disciples of
all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.”
Matthew 28:19
When adults are thinking about being baptized into the Roman Catholic faith, or converting from another Protestant Christian denomination, we use a process called the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults.
Those who have not been baptized in any Christian faith, those who have been baptized into a Christian denomination who are not yet Catholic and those who have been baptized Catholic but need to receive their other Sacraments of Initiation (Communion and/or Confirmation).
We get together each week to pray, learn about important topics related to the life of the Church, and to carefully discern our response to God’s call to be members of the Catholic Church. There will be brief videos to watch at home during the week which explain Church teachings in a documentary format. Then in class, a presenter will expound upon the topic in a teaching method that includes good catechesis and relatable stories that impact our lives.
Weekly from September to June.
We encourage rational discernment to be sure the Catholic faith is truly what God is calling you to. Choosing to become Catholic is a decision that spans the entirety of your life. The Catholic Church has over 2000 years of history & tradition. There is a lot to learn!
From the standpoint of financial costs, there are none. The largest investment made is in time; a most precious commodity.
