Youth Ministry provides opportunities for faith formation, service in the community, spiritual growth and preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Confirmation preparation is a two year process of formation involving the students, parents and sponsors. Year one of preparation typically begins in 8th grade with year 2 beginning in 9th grade and culminating in Confirmation at the end of the school year.
Confirmation classes occur on Sunday nights from 7:00-8:30. Classes meet a total of 12 Sundays a year beginning in September and ending in early May. Year 1 and year 2 students meet on separate Sundays. SS. Peter and Paul uses the Chosen Confirmation Program by Ascension Press. Click here to learn more about Chosen and how it's affecting teens.
Those preparing for Confirmation are also asked to attend one retreat during the first year of preparation, attend Ignite events during year 2 as well as participate in service.
