- a Ministry of the SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church St. Vincent de Paul Society.
We strive to support and empower those who are seeking career direction, looking to improve their current job situation, or trying to secure employment.
Faith-based: the ministry will be rooted in Catholic spirituality and encourage prayer, participation in the sacraments (as appropriate) and solidarity between those in need and those in the parish community.
Engaging: the ministry will strive to engage the parish in this ministry and be a hub where all parishioners, parish groups, and community members who have an interest in helping their neighbor in need of employment, can contribute.
Individually focused: the ministry will strive to recognize each person in need as an individual and will strive to provide assistance that is suited to each person
Value-added: the ministry will focus primarily on what it can uniquely do (such as linking those in need to parishioners who want to help) and on what it can do well based on the skill sets of its volunteers.
Inclusive: the ministry will provide services to all who are in need, regardless of parish or religious affiliation.
Non-intrusive: volunteers will be recruited for specific single limited commitments.
