The Music Ministry offers many opportunities for vocalists and instrumentalists to participate in a contemporary music choir, a traditional choir, an ensemble choir, a children's choir, and for individuals who wish to cantor or co-cantor. There are many people involved in various aspects of this ministry who lead the music at weekend Masses and special liturgies.
The Resurrection Choir sings at funeral Masses. If you are available, usually weekdays on short notice, and love to sing you are always welcome. Most music sung is familiar. Practice is held 1/2 hour before the funeral in the church.
The Children's Choir is for children 7-14 years of age. Choir practice is held on Tuesday evenings in the school band room. The Children's Choir sings at several 4:30 Saturday and 9:30 a.m Sunday Masses throughout the year.
The Sunday 11:00 a.m. Choir is an informal group singing many types of music as we make an exceptional and joyful noise unto the Lord! We welcome and seek young and old of varied talents to join with us to contribute to the spirit of celebration at Mass. We practice each Sunday morning from 9:30 a.m - 10:30a.m.
The Traditional Choir provides music at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday Masses. Our music is traditional, using piano or organ accompaniment. Everyone can easily sing the songs found in the Breaking Bread book. If you enjoy singing, please join us for practice in the church on Thursday evenings at 5:00 p.m. New members are always welcome. We believe that "He who sings prays twice."
Ensembles are formed when 2 or 3 singers wish to come together with an accompanist/instrumentalist to assist the congregation's giving praise to God in song..
The Praise & Worship choir is High School and Young Adults who sing contempoarary music for the praise and worship of God. They are with us for the 5:00 PM Mass on Sunday Evening once a month.
